This trip starts at either 9h00 or 14h00 and lasts 4 hours. On the tour, we first take a boat to a small island called Caamaño Islet, better known as La Loberia, situated in Academy Bay facing the port of Puerto Ayora. We then follow the coast to Punta Estrada, where there is a small canal which is the home to families of white tip sharks. We then get off the boat to visit Las Grietas; a tranquil lagoon where the fresh water from the highlands pools and mixes with the salt water from the ocean.
On this trip it is common to spot blue footed boobies, sea lions, frigate birds, marine turtles, white tip sharks, and many more.
This half day trip takes you north of the island to visit Isla Lobos, named such due to its large colonies of sea lions (lobos marinos) that inhabit its coastline. It takes around half an hour by boat to get to the island, and the boats leave at 9h00 and return to the main port at 14h00.
The tour includes a light hike around the island, where you will see a huge number of birds, such as the blue footed booby. You will also have the opportunity to snorkel and swim with the sea lions. After visiting Isla Lobos, the tour will move on to Playa Ochoa, a beautiful beach with white sand and shallow crystal clear water.
This small volcanic island is situated in front of Puerto Villamil, which is the main port on Isabela island. The Tintoreras tour lasts 3 hours and includes a short hike around the island to see a variety of birds, as well as white tip sharks and marine iguanas from the shore. After the land tour, you have the opportunity to snorkel in the bay, where you can swim with penguins, marine turtles, golden rays and spotted rays. This trip can be taken at any time between 9h00 and 15h00.
